I have 2 small issues with flour. 1) Why is it the bag you buy it in SO difficult to pour into your flour canister? 2) Why is the flour canister not big enough (even when it's empty) to hold the entire bag of flour? I mean come on... there's like a 1/2 cup left in the bag, HELLO, so not throwing that away. But then it keeps piling up, 1/2 cup here, run out of flour the next bag is a cup... but wait, you forget you have all those small scrunched up bags of flour - until you clean out the pantry, which is what - like every other 5 years? Then you look at yourself and say, "I'm a hoarder! Of flour!"
I replenished my flour canister tonight and well... it didn't go so good.
But, on the quilting front... I can't find anymore of the gray I used for "Pretty in Pink" - I ordered what I thought it was, and whelp, it wasn't. Mission tomorrow after work - MUST FIND GRAY FABRIC... good news is - ALL thread is 50% off at JoAnn's tomorrow and Saturday. So stock up! (No I don't have sponsors...) What I do have is supporters. :)
So I started quilt #5. Chevron - I'm really trying to perfect my 1/4" seam so I'll be making 2 or three blocks for practice. I will be putting this Chevron together as blocks instead of row.
ah ha Tricky Troyer, I tricked you... Quilt receiver #5, my good friend... Tricky Troyer.
Heading to the couch - gotta finish Bo's binding... it's 1/31/13.
Cheers!

It is one of the mysteries of the universe, those flour canisters that are too small

Flour gets air in it as you pour. Try tapping the canister on the counter to settle the flour. You will probably get it all in that way!

If you spill salt you throw it over your shoulder for good luck, but if you spill flour?? Guess you're on your own!?
