First I want to let everyone know, I don't sit over here and always fart rainbows and unicorns... My life has given me a fair amount of challenges and frustrations, I just choose to focus on things that make me laugh and smile. However, there are the nights, I cry myself to sleep. Thank GOD for preperation H, saves me from the over swollen eyes the next day. ;)
Today is a perfect day to sew. Cold and a small dusting of snow outside.
I have LOTS to do today. Need to finish the binding on Dorothy's quilt. I will be giving it to her next week. Finished quilting Little Tee's quilt yesterday.
I worked an extra hour every day this week to be able to do it Friday afternoon while Sherri was there. Think I'm going to go out today and pick up some walkie talkies, the long arm machine is on the opposite end of where we work. "Over and out Share Bear, what did you just tell me 5 seconds ago?" So much quicker than running down the hallway, SHIT SHERRI, what did I do wrong!?
Sherri is an AMAZING quilter and beautiful person. Funny too! I always say, I want to be just like here when I grow up. She suggested the waves on this quilt, to compliment the horizontal pattern, I love it.
Here's the back.
When I first starting quilting this quilt, Karen was in the studio with me watching. Something seemed WAY wrong, so I went underneath the long arm and saw this. "SHIT." I said. Karen in her sweet calming voice said, "Do I need to go get Sherri, I'm gonna go get Sherri." The tension was wrong. SO many things to remember.
I read these words every morning. LIVE OUT LOUD.
So here's to Saturday. Going to start on Quilt #3. Cheers!

What would we do without Sherri?
