It's Feb. 28th and I've found myself short of my goal this month. I have 3 tops done and only 1 quilted, so time to put together a game plan. I have to have 7 quilts done by end of March; 6 for my 36 project and 1 for McCall's Magazine. So it's time to set goals and by golly... stick to them.
1. Sew on binding to Pretty in Pink 2/28
2. put together back for Not So Tricky 2/28
3. Plop my bum on the couch and start hand sewing the binding on Pretty in Pink 2/28
4. Layer Not So Tricky 3/1
5. Put together back for It's All Dakota to Me 3/1
6. Sew Template 3 to Templates 1 & 2 on Black Diamond 3/1
7. Pay bills 3/1 (Lame!)
8. Start quilting Not So Tricky 3/2
9. Sew Template 4 to Templates 1, 2 & 3 on Black Diamond 3/2
10. Clean for 2 hours (Lame!) 3/2
11. Continue quilting Not So Tricky 3/2
12. Plop my bum on the couch and continue the binding on Pretty in Pink 3/2
13. Continue quilting Not So Tricky 3/3
14. Sew Template 5 to Templates 1, 2, 3, and 4 on Black Diamond 3/3
15. Clean for 2 hours (Lame!) 3/3
16. Finish quilting Not So Tricky 3/3
17. A glass of wine (Yeah!)
18. Finish binding on Pretty in Pink 3/3
If I can accomplish these goals set forth by me this weekend - Quilt #4 Pretty is Pink will be done. Quilt #5 Not So Tricky will be ready for binding, Quilt #6 It's All Dakota to Me will be ready to be quilted, and Quilt #7 Black Diamond will be ready for Assembly. Bills will be paid and my house sort of cleaned. I will cut up apples and cheese to eat throughout the weekend. I will keep all ya all posted on my progress. As they say, "it's balls to the wall time."
Cheers!

You can do it!!!!!
Hand you also looked into how to machine quilt your binding on? There are several tutorials out there like:
1. http://patsloan.typepad.com/quiltershome/pat-sloan-machine-binding-tutorial.html
2. http://www.stitchedincolor.com/2011/11/zigzag-binding-tutorial.html
3. http://crazymomquilts.blogspot.com/2011/11/one-way-to-machine-bind-quilt.html
I thought I would save you time and possible distraction time by looking them up for you, lol. Now I will admit that the majority of my quilts are done by hand, but about 1/4 of them are done by machine because it would look better on it. I am rooting for you all through the weekend!! I look forward to seeing your late Sunday night post with all your progress. Okay, now I am off to get something done myself while the baby is napping!

I don't know how you do it, but you inspire me. I've made two quilts for a dear old friend, one for my daughter, one in progress for my toddler son, and am working on another one for another friend so far this year. I'm going to try to make as many quilts for people near and dear to me this year as I can, too.

Shanna, I think I will eventually start machine binding - but hand binding is so relaxing - too bad it's so dang time consuming!
Bunny - I'm going to have a manicure on the 17th... I'm excitec.
Leah, I'm not quite sure how I do it either. Truth be told, my house is a mess and I didn't get out of my pj's or shower all weekend!!!
Charlene - thanks for the you-can-do-it vibes! They worked!
