The progress of Black Diamond... This one was created or is still being created with all templates. There were initially suppose to be 156 blocks, but, um, well - I've cut enough of them too short that he's going to have to be a wee bit smaller.
Each block needed to be trimmed down to a 5 1/2" square. I love these kind of quilts - were perfection doesn't exist - the quilt just seems to take on a personality of it's own.
Because each block needs special attention in the trimming department, this quilt is taking a little more time. Well, it's either that or the ladies at work are making me more "professional"? Yikes! I'm a free spirited sewer - am I really going anal on 1/4" seams and pressing - oh boy!
So far. As you can see the first 3 rows are rather wrinkled - snosno decided the other night to curl up in it. Yep, you guessed it - she has to iron it now.
Now we over here are closing shop. Couch time - sleep and relaxation is much needed.
