I wonder if anything really is a unique original idea. There is so much image overload in today's world - at the same time we are lucky, I often find myself asking, "are my quilts, my quilts?"
Well, you can't really say anyone of us came up with the square. Everything we create is inspired by something. A person, a fabric, a feeling - something we saw and loved, whether we saw it for real or our imaginations brought it out.
Well anyways... I ordered fabric for my next quilt. I think it's going to be stunning.
Here is a rough design concept...
My plan is to use strip paper piecing, 1 circle with be 24", 2 will be 1/2 of 24", the large one will be 38" and the small one 17" - or there abouts. I'm going to piece the background fabric and hand applique on the squares. My new project will have no deadline - I have enough dang deadlines; why add more?!
My quilter, Karen, sent me a picture of "Twisted Craze" getting quilted. I am SO excited to see what see does with it. I LOVE this quilt!
Life is good. :)
