After a year of doing a few free lance jobs, lots of books, lots of Netflix, lots of time with my babies I decided to take another chance at working a full time job. I guess the craziest part of doing that is I've taken a job working with sewing machines. It always boggles my mind that when you work full time you spend more waking time with your coworkers then anyone else. Today was week three.
Here are my thoughts, holy cow what you can do with a sewing machine these days! Pfaff, Brother, Bernina, Juki. By the end of the day my head is so full I feel like my brain just went to a buffet and maybe I didn't need that last trip to the dessert bar. Disclainer: HOW CAN YOU PASS UP FRENCH SILK PIE?! Exactly my point my friends, you can't. I also can't believe my machine is 13 years old and my back up is 4 or 5. Guess what RyGuy??? It's time to get your woman a new baby. No Ryan, 6 sewing machines is not enough, how many times do we have to talk about this?! I've got my eye on the Bernina 770, I still am and probably will always love piecing. I've found a fantastic quilter so I most likely will only quilt my smaller quilts.
I haven't posted pictures in a really long time - my phone doesn't want to communicate with my computer. Can't everyone just get along already!!!! Here's what I got today...
Quilt I finished last year for my Mom's best friend's daughter. It was suppose to be done by her wedding, but it wasn't. I told her when my Mom and I gave it to her, "I think it was worth the wait." I LOVE this one. Tula Pink fabrics. This is it before it was quilted.
Quilted. Told you I found an awesome quilter!
One of my current projects...
This one has been tricky. Can't seem to get his lower mid section to line up with his butt when I sew the pieces together. Oh well. Like my quilter told me, "stop pointing out your mistakes."
I just LOVE this fortune...
And today, tomorrow and everyday I am granted life I will always think of JayJay and Anaheim... I hope they are best friends hanging out with the boss.
I suppose one day I'll find a little guy like this and he shall be called JayJay 2.0.
As always. Cheers!
T-Dogs, over an out.
